Em Workers designs, builds and migrates fast business sites on Astro and EmDash. Every site gets a free rebuilt homepage.
Measured in your browser just now, not written into the page.
We rebuild your homepage in Astro for free, so you can see it on your own site.
Your existing site, rebuilt in Astro, from $499.
New marketing sites, publications and brand sites, from $4,999.
From any CMS or site builder, with a redirect for every old URL.
EmDash by default, or Sanity, Contentful and Storyblok if your team already likes them.
An outside read on an Astro site that’s grown slow or hard to run.
Patches, updates, monitoring and unlimited tasks with same-day turnaround, for $99 a month.
Nobody chooses a new platform for fun. You get here because the old one started costing more than it gives back.
A plugin update breaks a layout on a Friday. Someone has to find out which one, and roll it back.
Nothing to patch on the live site. Changes are tested on a preview first.
A landing page for next week’s campaign joins the queue and ships after the campaign.
Editors build pages from approved blocks and publish them on their own.
You bought the caching plugin, the image plugin and the speed audit. The site is still slow on a phone.
Pages are built from Astro with almost no JavaScript, so there’s little to slow down.
Plugins are where most CMS sites get into trouble, and you can’t audit forty of them.
EmDash plugins run in a sandbox and can only do what they declared.
Hosting, the page builder, premium plugins and the CMS seat licence all renew, and none of them make publishing better.
Open-source software, your own Cloudflare account and no CMS subscription.
The site lives in someone else’s accounts, and every small change goes back through them.
Code, content and accounts are yours from day one.
Most Astro sites connect to a separate CMS, with its own login and its own monthly bill. EmDash lives in the same project as the site, so there’s one thing to run.
What visitors get
Pages arrive as finished HTML. JavaScript loads only for the parts that need it, like a form or a menu, so the rest of the page has nothing to wait for.
What your team edits
An open-source CMS built for Astro. Posts, pages, media, menus, drafts, revisions and scheduling, in one TypeScript codebase with the site.
Where it runs
Workers serves pages from data centers close to each visitor. Content sits in a D1 database and media in R2 storage, all in your own account.

Four phases. Start at any of them, and leave after any of them.
1
Find out what you have, what it costs and whether moving is worth it.
2
Shape the content, the look and the blocks your team builds pages from.
3
Ship a new site or move the old one, with your old site live until the new one passes.
4
Keep it fast, current and improving, with the same people who built it.
Your site runs across Cloudflare’s network, in more than 300 cities, so people get it from somewhere close.
This site, measured on production. Run it yourself and see.

Astro is an open-source web framework for content-driven sites. Pages are built as finished HTML, and JavaScript loads only for the parts that need it, which is why Astro sites are fast by default.
EmDash is an open-source, MIT-licensed CMS written in TypeScript and built for Astro. It started at Cloudflare and reached 1.0 in September 2026. You get an admin for posts, pages, media and menus, plugins that run in a sandbox, and an MCP server on every site for AI agents.
For a marketing site, publication or company blog, yes. It’s also young, with a small plugin ecosystem and fewer people who know it than older CMSs. That’s why the audit comes first: if your site depends on something EmDash can’t do yet, we’ll tell you.
Yes. Editors work in an admin, not in code, with pages, posts, media, menus, drafts and scheduling. New pages come together from approved blocks, so they stay on brand without a developer.
No one can honestly promise rankings. What we can promise is the work that protects them: a baseline before we start, a redirect for every indexed URL, the same titles, descriptions and structured data, and a check of each redirect before launch.
Content moves: pages, posts, media, categories, tags, authors, menus and SEO fields. Templates, page-builder layouts and add-ons usually don’t. Those are rebuilt as Astro components, and the migration map shows each one before you commit.
